Hub App – JSON Data Handling and Parsing



I was able to get it working when connecting EH to outlook connectors. I want to be able to parse the data and extract certain fields from the event content. I look up online to use Parse JSON from the Data Operations action but it seems not to be able to parse the content

Recently, JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) has become a very popular data interchange format with more and more developers opting for it over XML. Even many web services nowadays provide JSON as the default output format.


A JSON file stores data in key-value pairs and arrays; the software it was made for then accesses the data. JSON allows developers to store various data types as human-readable code, with the keys serving as names and the values containing related data.


This type of file provides a human-readable format for storing and manipulating data when developers build software. It was initially designed based on Javascript object notation but has since grown in popularity, so many different languages are compatible with JSON data.


Notepad++ is another simple source code editor for viewing and altering text and programming files, though unlike Windows Notepad it has more flexibility with editing. Coded in C++ which is faster and easier on your device, it is also a great choice for JSON files due to the simplistic syntax and nature of JSON data.


Microsoft VSC is a more complex text editor and falls under the category of integrated development environments (IDEs) as it is very robust and can open and interact with a variety of file types and programming languages. This makes for a very powerful means of viewing data of all types including that of JSON files.


If you don't configure these settings, the emulators will listen on theirdefault ports, and the Cloud Firestore, Realtime Database and Cloud Storage for Firebaseemulators will run with open data security.

to_json() can be used to turn structs into JSON strings. This method is particularly useful when you would like to re-encode multiple columns into a single one when writing data out to Kafka. This method is not presently available in SQL.


from_json() can be used to turn a string column with JSON data into a struct. Then you may flatten the struct as described above to have individual columns. This method is not presently available in SQL.


Spark SQL provides you with the necessary tools to access your data wherever it may be, in whatever format it may be in and prepare it for downstream applications either with low latency on streaming data or high throughput on old historical data!


Most operations specify that you should pass an Accept header with a value of application/vnd.github+json. Other operations may specify that you should send a different Accept header or additional headers.


The Octokit.js library automatically passes the Accept: application/vnd.github+json header. To pass additional headers or a different Accept header, add a headers property to the object that is passed as a second argument to the request method. I recently needed to send JSON that an IoT Hub could receive and display on an AZ3166 device. Once the AZ3166 device receives the message, then it could do a number of things with the data such as open an door.

Providers record patient information across different software platforms. Each of these platforms can have varying implementations of complex healthcare data standards. Also, each system needs to communicate with a central repository called a health information exchange (HIE) to build a central, complete clinical record for each patient.


In this post, I demonstrate the capability to consume different data types as messages, transform the information within the messages, and then use AWS service to take action depending on the message type.

Many times, the term CSV is used to identify not just comma-delimited data types but also data types with other delimiters in use. By default, Mirth Connect uses the Derby database on the local instance for configuration and message storage. Your next agenda item is to switch to a MySQL-compatible database with Amazon RDS. In the example below, replace USER with the user name to use for connection (typically, admin if you have not created other users). The following screenshots are examples of the DICOM message data converted to XML in Mirth Connect, along with the view of the attached medical image. Also, you can view an example of the data stored in DynamoDB.


With the combination of channels, you now have your original messages saved and available for archive via Amazon Glacier. You also have each message stored in DynamoDB as discrete data elements, with references to each message stored in Amazon RDS for use with message correlation. Finally, you have your transformed messages, processed messages, and image attachments saved in S3, making them available for direct use or archiving.
