Take VR Photos On IPhone With Google’s New Cardboard Camera App: A Review and Comparison with Other

This is a neat app that uses 3D data to modify the depth of field of your photos, as well as add lighting effects. (And a whole lot more that is outside of the scope of this review.) Upon launch, you are immediately ready to take a photo with Focos.

Capture is quite easy, only requiring you to point and shoot like a normal camera. It is worth mentioning that, if you want to use any of the 3D features of the app, you must have a phone with dual (or more) lenses and use the zoom lens to take the photo, or allow their AI to extrapolate depth.

The Insta360 Nano is one of the cheaper options at 145 on Amazon UK or just $72 on Amazon US. Featuring an optional MicroSD card slot, the accessory can also be used as a standalone 360 camera with users only needing to connect their iPhone or iPad to view saved photos and videos, get a live preview of the photo/video and tweak capture settings.

i have tried creating stereo panoramas in enscape, export them, modify them online and then import them into google cardboard camera, and then view them in here, but it's a very long and very very troublesome way of doing this, and i can't even sort the images inside google cardboard camera - at lest i have not found out how....

Yes I am having the same issue where i did some touchups on the .vr.jpg file in photoshop, and when i open the altered file in the cardboard camera app i see the edits in only one eye. If anyone knows how to edit the other eye it would be appreciated

When you buy a 360 camera, you almost always have to download and install an app from the manufacturer to configure your camera. These apps also allow you to take pictures via WiFi or Bluetooth, and may have additional features such as sharing your 360 photos online, editing them, time lapse photography, video editing, etc.

Now all you need to do is start shooting photos and point your camera at the dot. Just move the camera from one dot to another and let the phone take photos. Once all the dots are covered, tap on the check-mark and wait for the photos to stitch up together.

I completely understand that taking 360-degree photos using just one camera that too attached to your phone can be quite a task. But then think about how your the photo from your next trip is gonna look with the 360 degree view from an exotic location. So do try it out and let us know your experience with them.

Looking for some VR content to enjoy your Google Cardboard? How about creating some 360-degree images and mix it with sounds of the environment? To take VR photos on Android devices, do as follows:

Technically, you can use any "flat" image in supported formats (see below), however, to have panorama that looks right, it must be a high-resolution equirectangular projection image. These can be panoramic photos taken from the photosphere, or panorama images generated by CG. Long story short, it is a projection of the environment on a sphere unwrapped into a rectangular map with a strict aspect ratio of 2:1.

The source of stereoscopic panorama image can be two panoramic photos taken by real cameras from a different angles and later stitched together in 2d editor one above other, or can be directly generated using 3d rendering software. 2ff7e9595c
